Early Maria Martinez Blackware Ceramic Bowl
Maria Martinez (San Ildefonso Pueblo, 1887-1980). Blackware ceramic bowl or vase. The sides with a band of geometric motifs. Inscribed signature along the underside.
Height: 5 3/4 in x diameter: 8 in.
Condition: No major chips or cracks. There are minute losses along the top rim. There are a few small scuffs and white accretions across the design along the exterior. The footrim has wear consistent with age and use. No signs of restoration.
