Large Chinese Ming Porcelain Basin
Large Chinese Ming dynasty porcelain basin with blue and white underglaze decoration. The central ground filled with a profusion of lotus blossoms and constituent scrolling tendrils, surmounted by a thick ruyi head border with a lower border in an acanthus leaf design.
Provenance: The collection of Bruce Dayton and Ruth Stricker Dayton - Selections from The Marsh, Minnetonka, Minnesota.
Height: 10 in x diameter: 23 in.
Condition: In good condition, with no major cracks or losses, and no visible restorations. Light wear and scratches throughout, especially along the interior and footrim.
