Cai Xiaoli (C.X. Li) (Chinese, b. 1956). Ink and natural pigments on rice paper painting titled "Blue Irises with Gold" depicting blue iris flowers, ca. 2003. Signed along the lower right. The flowers form a cluster along the lower right of the work, their graceful leaves bending out toward the edges. The background depicts abstract squares of yellow and pink.
