Bidou Yamaguchi Japanese Okina Noh Mask
Bidou Yamaguchi (born Yamaguchi Hiroki) (Japanese, b. 1970). Noh mask depicting Okina, the happy old man, with his distinctive white eyebrows and beard. Carved wood with pigments, lacquer, and gofun. Carved along the inside with Yamaguchi's mark. With a storage and display case.

Provenance: Distinguished corporate collection, Minnesota.

Height: 7 in x width: 6 in. Boxed; height: 20 1/2 in x width: 10 in x depth: 5 in.
Condition: There are no major losses, chips, cracks, or restorations. Areas of rubbing and paint loss throughout, especially along the sides, nose, cheeks, and chin. Wear to the eyebrows. Lacking the display wire.
