Sefer HaKaneh, by Rabbi Elkana ben Yerucham, including the testament of Naftali, son of Jacob our Patriarch, to his sons. Also included is Sefer Kaneh Binah/Kaneh Chochmah, by Rabbi Kaneh ben Avigdor ben Nachum, discussing topics such as character traits, constellations, facial recognition, reincarnation, the speech of palms, birds, snakes, and herbs. Printed in Krakow, 1894.

Signature on the title page 'Mordechai ben Chaim Maharil N.Y.', which is the signature of the Tzadik Rabbi Mordechai Chaim Slonimer, of blessed memory.

On the flyleaf, Rabbi Mottel recorded his novella, some of which discuss the survival of Israel above natural law, among other topics.

Rabbi Mordechai Chaim Slonimer (1868 – 1954), also known as 'Rabbi Mottel Dayan', was one of the great Chassidim of Slonim and the leader of the Slonim community in Tiberias. In his youth, he lived in Safed, where he established a yeshiva named after the author of 'Beit Aharon'. After the Zionists took control, he moved to Tiberias, where he served as a dayan  alongside his brother-in-law and student, Rabbi Moshe Klirs. He was a remarkable figure, known for his genius and immense diligence, particularly in his vast knowledge of all parts of the Rambam's Mishneh Torah. He was also famous for his zealous defense of the faith. His novellae and teachings have been published in the sefarim 'Maamar Mordechai'.
