LEOPOLD P. MAARTEN (born 1979) is an Austrian artist, born in Innsbruck, for over 20 years he is working in Germany.

He started painting in 1999 and in 2001 he exhibited in his first exhibition as part of a group of modern artists in Munich
He was captivated by the charm of the city of Munich and opened his own studio in the city
He creates his own paint, from special pigments he produces, the main motif in his works is the bright red color , "red is powerful color, the viewer's brain unconsciously (or completely consciously) connects it to blood, the sign of life and death, it connects to the primordial instinct in our brain that wants to go hunting, and prove That we are merely domesticated predators ".
The artist's works are in private collections in Switzerland, France, Germany, Israel, Austria, Italy and Belgium
