A full recording of the proclamation of the state - David Ben-Gurion! Including the anthem and the stage of signing the Declaration of Independence. A rare and unique recording reel - From May 14, 1948,

https://youtu.be/CN9KzCrBPdI

This full recording was only discovered in 1981 as part of an investigation conducted during the production of the "Pillar of Fire" series, when a full copy of the recording was discovered by recorder Lucian Salzman. The original recording was made on a metal record, from this rare full set this recording was made. A full recording of the Declaration of Independence is not available to listen to online! The Knesset website has a late recording of David Ben-Gurion reading the Knowledge of the State.

To the best of our knowledge this is the original recording film to which the rare recording from the metal record was transferred for the purpose of preparing the "Pillar of Fire".

The recording lasts about 16 minutes and includes the full recording of David Ben-Gurion reading the proclamation, including the blessing "Shachayinu" blessed by Rabbi Yehuda Leib Fishman Maimon. Ben-Gurion then read the Provisional Council of State, which included an order repealing the White Paper. After all this, the signing ceremony for the scroll took place, which is also documented entirely in the recording, in which it can be heard that some of the signers could not arrive because they were in besieged Jerusalem or abroad. Their signatures were attached to the scroll later.

According to a spokesman for the Broadcasting Corporation, there is only one additional copy in the Public Broadcasting Corporation's archives. It is not known if the original record was preserved and if so, it is probably in the State Archives. So this is probably the only recording that is outside the state archives.
