Five Megillot [Shir HaShirim, Ruth, Eichah, Kohelet and Megillat Esther] Venice, 1568. Zuen Digara printing
A magnificent edition of the large and impressive "Mikra'ot Gedolot" printed by Zuen Gara during his first years as a printer in Venice. Di Gara inherited the printing press of the Venetian printer Daniel Bomberg.
The five scrolls were printed in a volume by themselves, as explained in the title page.
Throughout the book there are a number of long antique glosses.
Very good condition. No binding. Stains. Creases in corners. The last 5 leaves are torn with some damage to the text. Few pages detached.
