Shulchan Aruch with Ba'er Heitev, first edition - Amsterdam 1742 - very rare!

Shulchan Aruch, Orach Chaim, with Ba'er Heitev by Rabbi Yehuda Ashkenazi of Tiktin. Amsterdam [1742] First edition.

A number of authors have composed a composition called "Ba'er Heitev" on the Shulchan Aruch.

The first was Rabbi Yeshaya, the grandson of the Taz, who wrote an essay with this name on Orach Chaim (Amsterdam, 1708).

The second was Rabbi Yehuda Ashkenazi of Tiktin who wrote on three parts of Shulchan Aruch.

The third author is Rabbi Moshe Frankfurt Dayan of Amsterdam, who completed the essay on Choshen Mishpat, and added additions to the section Yoreh De'ah in the Laws of Joy.

The fourth author was Rabbi Zechariah Mendel of Belz, whose essay on Yoreh De'ah was later re-edited with the addition of Rabbi Yehuda Tiktin's commentary on the books of the Shulchan Aruch, , And is found in the books of the Shulchan Aruch nowadays.

The fifth was Rabbi Moshe of Zolkova who wrote "Ba'er Heitev" on the Shulchan Aruch Yoreh De'ah.

Before us is part one of the edition of the Shulchan Aruch with the Ba'er Heitev commentary printed in Amsterdam in 1742 on Orach Chaim- And is the first edition of Rabbi Yehuda Ashkenazi's Ba'er Heitev.
