The book was written in completion of the Shukchan Aruch, which does not include the laws that are applicable in the Land of Israel and the laws of Terumot and Me'asrot.
The book had many editions and constitutes one of the basic books on the laws applicable in the Land of Israel.
In this edition, comments were added by Rabbi Eliyahu David Rabinowitz, and by Rabbi Avraham Yitzchak HaCohen Kook [at the end of part 2].
