The title page of the book contains an inscription in Oriental handwriting (the The writer identity was not checked): "Kodesh LaHashem will not be sold or Yigal to the synagogue of the Babylonians in the Beit Yisrael neighborhood."
The Shoshanim L'David synagogue was established in 1909 by Rabbi Yechezkel Ezra Halevi and Rabbi Ya'akov Chaim Sofer - the "'Kaf Ha'Chaim'," which he demanded on Shabbat and Yom Tov. The synagogue was built with the encouragement of Rabbi Ben Ish Chai.
In the synagogue where the book was studied were the great Sephardic sages in Jerusalem [the Kaf Ha'Chaim, Rabbi Yechezkel Ezra HaLevi, Rabbi Ovadia Yosef, Rabbi Yitzchak Kadouri, and many others].
Numerous owners' stamps in the book. And stamp of "Beit Hasidim of Amshinov".
Fair condition, binding and several leaves partly detached, tear at title-page missing, rubbing to cover.
