כל יחיד, מלך: הגותו החברתית והפוליטית של זאב ולדימיר ז'בוטינסקי - Every Individual, a King: The Social and Political Thought of Ze'Ev Vladimir Jabotinsky -אנגלית 303 ע' -אין ספק שז'בוטינסקי היה ליברל מחויב בן המאה התשע-עשרה, שהצליח להתאים את תורתו הליברלית למורכבות העולם המודרני. There is little doubt that Jabotinsky was a com- mitted nineteenth-century liberal who suc- ceeded in adapting his liberal teachings to the complexity of the modern world. He did state that, had he been able, he would have composed a politi- cal philosophy based entirely on the premise that every individual is a king, and whose only conclu- sion would have been a practically anarchistic state. In reality however, he developed a liberal-democratic theory that was remote from anarchism, one more complex, dealing with real problems of life in the twentieth century. The contention that Jabotinsky was a liberal-democratic thinker is based on the bulk of his work, notwithstanding his attitude to the issue of majority decision, and his passionate respect for discipline. While his deviation from strict liberal- democracy on these two issues may not be ignored, it is not sufficient to undermine the general liberal- democratic nature of his thought; on all other impor- tant matters, Jabotinsky's views were consistently liberal and democratic.
