Description:

Fossilized Megalodon shark tooth, the largest shark, millions of years old - an unusual and rare size!

The tooth is 78 mm long. Includes alums that have settled on the tooth.

A coin worth one shekel is used to illustrate the size of the item and is not included in this sale.

"Meglodon is a prehistoric species of shark of the genus Autodus in the family Autodontidae, which lived from the Miocene to the Pleistocene periods, about 23 to about 3 million years ago. Megalodon is known primarily for its skeletal remains, which indicate a giant shark, between 16 and 28.3 meters long."
