All items of this auction that were given directly by the Rebbe were thoroughly checked by the auction house to determine who received them from the Rebbe. For most of them, we received additional evidence such as a photograph taken when the item was received and varied authenticity tests.
The recipients' names were obscured in most of the items, at the request of their owners, and will be revealed to the buyers. Be advised, further questions about the items should be directed to the auction house until 24 hours before the auction. Entering a bid is binding with all that that entails. Thank you.

Item Overview
Description:
The First Tanya that was Published After He Became Admor and the First that was Printed in America - New York, 1954
Likkutei Amarim Tanya that was published in New York by Kehat in 1954, This edition is the first after the Rebbe became the Admor and the first in the USA in general. At its beginning, the Rebbe's foreword. At its end, facsimiles, indices and a list of Tanya editions.
To this edition, added for the first time is MOreh Shi'ur with a special title page, "as distributed by the Admor Yosef Yitzchak...", and indices for the Tanya edited by the Rebbe and here, for the first time, the Rebbe is titled Kevod Kedushat Admor Shlita. It is also interesting to note that most following editions are based on this one. See: Mondshine, Sifrei Hatanya 42.
Taping and some detached leaves. Original binding with minor blemishes. Stains. Good overall condition.
Interesting! Enclosed is the original receipt of the Center for Educational Matters for purchasing this Tanya in 1955 and additional leaves that were folded between the leaves of the book.
