All items of this auction that were given directly by the Rebbe were thoroughly checked by the auction house to determine who received them from the Rebbe. For most of them, we received additional evidence such as a photograph taken when the item was received and varied authenticity tests.
The recipients' names were obscured in most of the items, at the request of their owners, and will be revealed to the buyers. Be advised, further questions about the items should be directed to the auction house until 24 hours before the auction. Entering a bid is binding with all that that entails. Thank you.

Item Overview
Description:
"Sefer Chitas - Chumash, Tehillim and Tanya to be studied daily" - as instructed by the Rebbe the Rayatz and encouraged by the Rebbe. Published by the initiative of Rabbi Zeev Dov Slonim, and the Rebbe's encouragement and instructions (see below). Printed by Kehat, Kfar Chabad, Israel, first edition - 1981.
The Rebbe's response to the publisher Rabbi Zeev Dov Slonim with instructions for the prtinting of this edition, from Menachem Av 1980:
[Regarding Chumash, Tehillim, and Tanya (Chit'as) in one volume - Since the portion of the Chumash changes from year to year, perhaps his intention is to bind them all together as they are (but with separate title pages) - and if so, the idea is proper.
The Likut regarding Chitas and its importance - should be included at the end and with a separate title page.
In any case, the Guide for the daily portions etc., should be printed (also at the end of the Tanya). At the beginning of the volume, there should be a brief foreword concerning the purpose of the publication, as mentioned above.
The Chumash must include, simply, the Targum Onkelos and Rashi's commentary (Parshiy), along with the Haftarah portions]
Stains and minor blemishes. Good overall condition.
