Letter to Rabbi Yosef Haim Zonenfeld from Harry Charles Luke, the chief Secretary and successor of The High Commissioner in the Mandate Government. 1929.
Letter to Rabbi Yosef Haim Zonenfeld from Harry Charles Luke. In the letter the secretary thanks the Rabbi for his call to pray for the safety of the Kingdom of England, and tells him that his words and actions have been brought to the attention of Buckingham Palace.
“And I have been commanded to convey to the Lord Rabbi his gratitude to His Majesty for his words of blessing and best wishes.” At the time of writing Harry served as Acting Commissioner until the arrival of Commissioner Chancellor.
