Copy of the Admor of Koidanov: Shulchan Aruch Harav Yoreh Deah and Choshen Mushpat - Chrnovich, 1849

Shulchan Aruch Yoreh Deah, section V, by Rabbeinu Admor Hazaken Baal Hatanya. Printed in Chernovich, 1849. The first leaf following the title page is missing. Beyond this, has not been thoroughly studied for additional missing leaves. Ancient leather binding. Fabric spine. Stains and signs of usage. Restored title page, detached. Moth damage in some places. Fair-good overall condition. 


On verso of the front board, a (partly erased) stamp: "חנוך דב זילברפרב (האדמו"ר מקוידינוב - בוטושני) תל אביב" -  The Admor Rabbi Chanoch Dov Silberfarb of Koidanov-Botoshan (1890-1978), son of the Admor Rabbi Meshulam Zalman Joseph of Toporov. Was born and raised by his grandfather in Koidanov. Later he moved to Toporov, where his father was appointed as Rav. Like his father, was also close to the Belz Chassidut. In 1929, became the Admor of Botoshan (Botoşani), Romania, succeeding his in-law Rabbi Moshe of Sulitza. During the Holocaust, he helped Polish refugees in Romania. In 1948, he immigrated to Israel and settled in Tel Aviv. His Beit Midrash was established on Dizengoff Street.
