Letter on official letterhead, signed by Admor Rabbi Avraham Menachem of Alexander, the Imrei Menachem, from the 17th of Kislev 1977, addressed to “the members of the important Mifal Ezrat Torah”, in which the Admor asks “one of the Rams of the yeshiva…must change his residence and because of this has been forced into large debts. I request that you provide a guarantee on his behalf for the amount of the loan…and I am sure that in the merit of this mitzvah Hashem will fulfill all of your needs and that you will be blessed with honor and blessedness. Avraham Danziger son of the Gahatz of Alexander.” Size: 24.5x17cm.

The Admor Rabbi Avraham Menachem Danziger, the Imrei Menachem (1921-2005) was the son of the Admor the Emunat Moshe of Alexander. He was the son-in-law of Rabbi Chananya Yosef Halprin, the sixth generation descended from the Baal HaTanya and Shulchan Aruch HaRav of Liady. He was a member of the Council of Torah Sages of Agudas Yisrael. He moved to Israel in 1934 with his mother and father, and they settled in Jerusalem and were exceedingly poor. In 1947, when his great chassidut became known, his father was appointed aDmor and them after his death in 1973 he was appointed Admor.
