***לראשונה בבידספיריט, Dona Rosa (1896-1980)- כד חרס שחור וחתום מעוטר פרחים וענפים מפוסלים, של האמנית הבינלאומית דונה רוסה ממקסיקו . דונה רוסה המציאה טכניקה להפיכת סוג החרס המקומי, בארו נגרו, לשחור ומבריק לאחר השריפה. מצב שמור וטוב. מידות: גובה 16 ס”מ, קוטר 12 ס”מ. צירפתי תצלום האמנית ז”ל. - This small vase comes from Oaxaca, Mexico.  It is called ”barro negro” or ”black pottery” (or ”black clay”). Before the 1950s, barro negro had a matte finish, but in the 1950s, a potter named Doña Rosa (1896-1980) put a black metallic-like sheen onto the pottery by polishing it before firing. In doing so, reinvented pottery and created a new niche in the field at that time.
