On the title page, a Hebrew and foreign stamp of the Malbim, stamps of Rabbi Chaim Belin, ancient and important Rabbinic ownership notations.
Stamps of "מאיר ליבוש מלבים אב"ד דק"ק בוקארעשט והמדינה". and his foreign name in the center, shaped as an eagle.
Rabbi Meir Leibush Malbim (1809-1880) one of the leading sages of all generations. When he was only 18, he published his book Artzot hachaim, which was approbated by the Chatam Sofer.
His unrelenting battle against the members of the Enlightenment Movement led to his persecution by them and to his arrest and deportation.
Was a Biblical commentator and his commentary had dozens of editions.
