Sefer Eretz Hachaim, Halachic and Aggadic novellae on Masechet berachot, by Rabbi Chaim Tirrer of Chernovich, author of Be'er Mayim Chaim and Sidduro shel Shabbat. Chernovich 1861. First edition. 

The less-known book by the holy Rav Rabbi Chaim of Chernovich. At the beginning of the book, an interesting foreword by the publisher, who writes that the Admor Rabbi Yisroel of Ruzhin was the one who titled the book. 

The author Rabbi Chaim Tirrer of Chernovich [1740-1818] the Rav of Chernovich. Was known as the Be'er Mayim Chaim as the name of his famed book. Author of Sidduri shel Shabbat and Sha'arei Tefillah. It was told that at the onset of the Sabbath, he used to grow taller due to the magnitude of the sanctity of the Sabbath. 

Pedigreed copy. On the title page, the stamp of Rabbi Alter Yosef Hager of Kosov Radovich [1820-1879], the great-grandson of Rabbi Pinchas of Koretz, the son of Rabbi Chaim of Kosov and brother of the Tzemach tzaddik, the founder of the Vizhnitz dynasty.  in 1873, he immigrated to Safed. Was buried in Haifa, alongside the Amora Rav Dimi.

Originally, [2], 79 leaves. In this copy, the first title page and last leaf are missing. 20.5 cm. Some detached leaves. Moth, mainly to the binding and some to the margins. Early illustrations on the front and back flyleaves. Good condition.
