In his book, he introduced an interesting custom of HaGra, in the name of his grandfather Rabbi Aharon Av Beis Din of Visoky, who visited the Beis Midrash of HaGra:
"...עד היכן כח כבוד התורה המסכתא לא היתה מונחת על השולחן ללמוד בה כדרך הנהוג בינינו רק ידיו הקדושים תמכין אורייתא משני עברי המסכת מזה א' משני ידיו ומזה א' משני ידיו, סימן לדבר אורך ימים בימינה ובשמאלה..." (not to put the Masechta on the table to be studied but rather, hold it with both hands).
