By the Gaon Rabbi Eliyahu Dweik Hacohen. Sermons on the Torah, Shut and Mahadura Batra. 

In 1785, part of the book was published in Kushta yet due to lack of funds, not all the book was printed and it remained without a title page. A year after his passing, the entire book was printed yet was published only in 1793. 


Chacham Eliyahu Dweik Hacohen was born in Haleb, Syria in 1722 to his father Chacham Nissim Dweil Hacohen. 

Studied Torah under his father, his uncle, Chacham Shmuel Dweik Hacohen who was the rav of Haleb, and under the other sages of Aleppo. 

passed away in 1792 and was laid to rest in Haleb. 


On the title page, ownership notations and varied Sephardic signatures. 

Glosses on the sheets of the book, some of them lengthy. In one of them: "ואני צעיר הצאן כתבתי בספרי הנחמד טירת כסף בכ"י... הצעיר שלמה כהן ס"ט..".


Old blemished binding. Ancient leather spine.
