First and rare edition. Basic. Akeidat Yitzchak - two sections - Salonika, 1522 - Post incunabula. 

The great book by Rabbi Yitzchak Arama on Chamisha Chumshei Torah, the book for which he was known as Baal HaAkeidah - a basic Mussar, thought and study book. 

Printed without a title page. 

And this is what Maran the Ketav Sofer wrote in his approbation for the Akeidat Yirzchak, Pressburg 1849 edition: מודעת זאת בכל הארץ, גלוי ומפורסם לעיני כל ישראל, אשר פעל ועשה איש חי רב פעלים מקבציאל, חד מן קמאי, הגאון המפורסם החוקר האלוקי מו"ה יצחק עראמאה זצ"ל... הורה דרכי התורה והאמונה... הפליא לעשות בחכמה ובדעת... חקירות עמוקות רמות ונשגבות... יסודותם בהררי קדש... מתקו לחיך וערבים על אזן שמעת...

This is an extremely rare copy of the first, rare edition of the book, which was never seen in auctions, except for single leaves. 

In the National Library there are only partial copies. 

Large, thick volume containing most of the book.

Section I: Chumash Bereshit from leaf 6 - (the first 5 leaves are missing as well as leaf 7)

Chumash Shemot is complete.

Chumash Vayikra is complete. 

Leaf 6, 8-283 (originally, 383) leaves. 

Section II: Chumash bamidbar is complete. 

Chumash Devarim - the 31 last leaves are missing [13 of the leaves of the book and 18 leaves of the indices at the end]. 

143 leaves. (originally, 150 [i.e. 174] leaves). 

28 cm. 

Thick leaves. 

New binding with ear, leaf 6 is detached. 

Moth damage to the inner margin. Moth perforations and stains. 

At the beginning of the book, dampness stains and some taped open tears - mainly to the edges. 

Fair-good overall condition.
