The Haggadah contains pages with color illustrations, the most unique of them being a fine illustration on two pages , accompanying the passage of the Haggadah of "מַעֲשֶׂה בְּרַבִּי אֱלִיעֶזֶר וְרַבִּי יְהוֹשֻעַ וְרַבִּי אֶלְעָזָר בֶּן עֲזַרְיָה, וְרַבִּי עֲקִיבָא וְרַבִּי טַרְפוֹן, שֶהָיוּ מְסֻבִּין בִּבְנֵי בְרַק, וְהָיוּ מְסַפְּרִים בִּיצִיאַת מִצְרַיִם כָּל אוֹתוֹ הַלַּיְלָה, עַד שֶׁבָּאוּ תַלְמִידֵיהֶם וְאָמְרוּ לָהֶם: "רַבּוֹתֵינוּ, הִגִּיעַ זְמַן קְרִיאַת שְׁמַע שֶׁל שַׁחֲרִית!".
The artistic illustration depicts the rabbis of the family of the Chatam Sofer: the Chatam Sofer's in-law Rabbi Akiva Eiger, the Chatam Sofer, the Ketav Sofer and Rabbi Simcha Bonem Sofer, all telling the story of the Exodus from Egypt. Depicted on the side are the two student scoming to tell them: "רבותינו הגיע זמן קריאת שמע של שחרית". Possibly, they too are of the family of the Chatam Sofer.
