First edition. Yeshuot Yaakov - Zholkva, 1828. Fine copy with the handwritten signature and important notation handwritten by Rabbi Shmuel Salant. 

Fine, well-preserved copy. The personal copy of the leading rabbis of Jerusalem Rabbi Avraham Zalman Tzoref and Rabbi Shmuel Salant.

A historical copy of Jerusalem

On the upper part of the title page: ש"ס" [ a stain on the ס] - the handwritten signature of Rabbi Shmuel Salant the Rav of Jerusalem - a rare signature. In addition, two different stamps of Rabbi Shmuel. one of them script-like on the title page.

On the upper part of the title page, Rabbi Shmuel wrote: "ושל אברהם שלמה זלמן צורף זללה"ה" indicating the book was from the estate of the Gaon Rabbi Avraham Shlomo Zalman Tzoref, the founder of the Ashkenazic neighborhood of the Prushim, disciples of HaGra in Jerusalem.



Rabbi Avraham Shlomo Zalman Tzoref of Keidan (1786-1851) immigrated with his sons and with Rabbi Yisrael of Shklow as part of the first immigration of HaGra's disciples in 1810 and founded, together with the holy Gaon Rabbi Mendel of Shklow, one of the leading disciples of HaGra, an Ashkenazic neighborhood in Jerusalem, in a yard where the Beit Midrash of the Or Hachaim Hakadosh was. He was the one who obtained the license to build the Churvat Rabbi Yehuda Hachassid with his sons. Due to his work for the building of Jerusalem, he was killed by an Arab in 1851. 


The holy Gaon Rabbi Shmuel Salant (1816-1909) the revered Rav of Jerusalem who was its leader for seventy years.
