Autograph. Eight pages! Four fine, complete leaves from Chukat Chaim by the Gaon Rabbi Shlomo Kluger.
Four leaves written on both sides in fine, orderly script, novellae on deep Sugyot. Autograph from the book Chukat Chaim.
The Gaon Rabbi Shlomo Kluger (1785-1869), one of the greatest Acharonim, Rosh Av Beit Din and Maggid Meisharim of Brody. Authored many books on all subjects of the Torah, many of them still unpublished. It is known that the number of the books he authored reaches the Gematria of his Hebrew name Shlomo (375); yet apparently, the number is much larger [just recently, volumes of the series Chochmat HaTorah by him were published - a thick volume on each Parasha!].
Was close to Rabbi Meir of Premishlan, who greatly revered his, saying ""מאיר רואה בשמיים שכמו שפוסק רבי שלמה למטה, כך פוסקים במתיבתא דרקיעא" (Nachalat Zvi 14, p. 73).
It is told that the Brody community gave him several 'scribes' and he dictated to each of them his novellae (to each one, on a different subject of the Torah) while answering questions/advising/blessing in the process.
