Rare! Single edition. Shlosha Srigim on the Haftarot - Venice, 1700.
By the Kabbalist Gaon Rabbi Yosef Yissachar Ber, the Rav of Frankfurt an der Oder and Moravia.
This book, which is a wonderful elucidation on the Haftarot, he wrote when he was delayed in Venice on his way to the Holy land with his wife and sons.
He was famed for his book Arba'ah Charashim, on the Nevi'im and Ketuvim.
Interesting ancient notations and signatures on the (many) flyleaves including an early letter that is mounted on verso of the binding.
On the upper part of the second leaf, a signature ..קניתי לכבוד צורי וקוני...הק' דוד ... An additional notation on the flyleaf by Pinchas Zelig, indicating he had sold the book to Rabbi David Schatz of Lemberg -
On one of the flyleaves, lengthy Divrei Torah on Parashat Vayera and Chayei Sarah handwritten by Rabbi zelig.
