Benjamin Disraeli – Carte-de-Visite Portrait by Charles Jacotin, Paris, 19th Century - Carte-de-Visite (CDV) portrait of Benjamin Disraeli (1804–1881), British statesman and author of Jewish ancestry, twice Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and later Earl of Beaconsfield. Produced by the Paris photographic studio of Charles Jacotin, at 37 Boulevard de Strasbourg, Paris. The photographer’s name appears on the front of the mount, while the reverse bears the studio mark “Photographie Charles Jacotin, 37, Boult. de Strasbourg, Paris.” The reverse also bears an old manuscript identification “Disraeli”, together with an additional “Maison Martinet – Grand Hôtel” stamp. An attractive 19th-century photographic portrait of one of Victorian Britain’s most prominent statesmen.
