Notgeld
Is an emergency money issued during the years of inflation, mainly in Germany and in Austro-Hungary, beginning in the First World War and during the 1920s.
This form of payment was unofficially issued by municipalities and local authorities and served as a substitute for small money that was in short supply.
There are many types of versions of paper, leather, silk, aluminum and more.
Some of them in vibrant colors and bearing various figures and folklore stories, and some of them even contain anti-Semitic propaganda that served the hatred of the Jews who were accused of all economic problems.
