A Pennsylvania Green-Painted Tulip Poplar Blanket Chest, 19th Century. The hinged rectangular top with applied molding enclosing a dovetail constructed box with a left till, raised on turned feet.
Dimensions: Height 18 1/2in; width 40in; depth 18 1/4in.
Provenance: Property from a Bucks County, Pennsylvania Collection.
Condition:
Structurally sound. The top with heavy wear and loss to painted surface. The till lacking a cover. General marks, wear, nicks, abrasions, shrinkage and age cracks, otherwise good condition. No key.
