Classics. Sefer Ha’Agudah. First Edition. Cracow 1571.

Classic Halachic sefer, based on the conclusions of the Talmud, by R. Alexander HaCohen Suesslin of Frankfurt (d. 1348), a Talmid of R. Yitzchok Duran (Sha’arei Dura). He served as Rav in Cologne, Worms and Frankfurt. Quoted extensively by R. Yaakov Weil (MaHaRIL) and the ReMA, this is one of most fundamental Halachic Seforim, particularly according to the Ashkenazic custom. Published from a manuscript with corrections by R. Yosef HaCohen, brother-in-law of the ReMA and author of Responsa She’aris Yosef.
