Meet Kobi Zarfati (1977), who lives and works in Givatayim.

For the first time in KooKoo, an Israeli realism artist who graduated from the "Station" school of figurative painting. Kobi studied art mainly with artists in a private setting such as Ilya Gefter, Ilana Bar David, David Nipo, Aram Gershuni and Adam Cohen.

Kobi has an innate talent for painting that he has developed over the years to this day. As a child he painted in a realistic style with an emphasis on the small and mostly focused details. At the age of 20, he had already presented his first exhibition, "Station in Time."
In his adulthood he developed to paint in an abstract style which expressed his imagination and his paintings were wild.

In the last decade, the artist has connected with figurative painting and acquired many skills in the field, the artist likes to show wild layers of color in his works, escapes the meticulous precision and dislikes "cleanliness" in painting. The works seem instinctive but also planned. One could say a combination of realism with geometric shapes. The artist manages to change perspectives in his personal life through painting.
