Medal commemorating the establishment of the Jewish Orphanage of Amsterdam. Cast bronze. Amsterdam, 30.4.1865.
Obverse side of medal: an embossment of a woman hugging two children with a shield with a Star-of-David and the inscription "Megadlei Yetomim" (Raising Orphans). Reverse side: an embossment of the structure of the Jewish orphanage of Amsterdam.
Diameter: 70 mm.
Condition: Good. Slight dents typical of the age of the item.
