Shevet Sofer Responsa. First section, Orach Chaim and Yoreh Deah, with the second section, Even Ha'Ezer and Choshen Mishpat.
By Rabbi Simcha Bonem Sofer, the son of the "Ketav Sofer'. Prepared for printing by his son, Rabbi Akiva Sofer.
On the title page of the book, an ownership inscription handwritten and signed by "Sho'el Ha'Dor" Rabbi Akiva Blau of Krasne.
Inside the book, many scholarly glosses in nice script. The script and some signs indicates that the writer is Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Ehrnreich, Av Beit Din of Shamloy. In one place he writes: "And study the Kol Aryeh Responsa Siman 44 … and study what I wrote in my glosses on Kol Aryeh".
Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Ehrnreich, Av Beit Din of Shamloy (1863-1944) was the grandson of Rabbi Avraham Yehuda Schwartz, the author of "Kol Aryeh". He saw himself as a disciple of the Chatam Sofer since he studied with his grandfather who was a disciple of the Chatam Sofer.
Rabbi Avraham Yehoshua Friend defined him in his book "Darkei Teshuva" as the "Second She'agat Aryeh".
He authored the "Lechem Shlomo" Respons and more. Died in the Holocaust, in 1944.
