This is the Ramchal's first book, which he wrote when he was twenty years old and dedicated to hi srabbi, Rabbi Yesha'aya Bassan.
With an enthusiastic approbation by Rabbi David Pintzi, the rabbi of Italy, who eventually became his father-in-law. An additional approbation by Rabbi Shimshon Cohem Modon.
At the end of the book, a poem by the printer Rabbi "Raphael Chaim of Italy" in honor of the author.
Contains the last leaf with the table of errors, which does not appear in all copies of the book.
On the title page of the book, a signature: "Yitzchak Raphael Pintzi". On leaf 16, a signature: "Avraham Chizkiya Shalom".
Throughout the book, three handwritten lingual corrections.
Rabbi Yitzchak Raphael Pintzi (1728-1813) was the son of Rabbi Elisha Pintzi. Served as a rabbi in the city of Casali and then in 1786, became the rabbi of Padova. He was the disciple of Rabbi Yitzchak Lampronti. He was known as a special sermonizer and even Christian scholars would come to hear his sermons. He was one of the heads of the Sanhedrin that was founded by Napoleon. Authored many Derash and Halacha books: Pri Tzeddek, Pri To'ar, Zayit Ra'anan and more.
