Ein Ya'akov – the Copy from which the Baba Sali had Studied, with His Stamp and an Interesting Handwritten Inscription
The book 'Ein Ya'akov' on the Aggadot of the Sages with the commentaries of Rashi, the Maharsha and the Chida. [Sections D-E]. Vilnius, 1877.
This copy was the personal copy of Rabbi Yisrael Abuhatzeira, the Baba Sali.
On the leaf before the title page, his stamp.
The Baba Sali gave the book as a gift to his loyal disciple, the Kabbalisy Rabbi Yichye Yaloz, as attested by him (a handwritten confirmation in blue pen signed by him on the same leaf).
On the reverse side of the aforementioned leaf, two signatures of Rabbi Avraham Abuhatzeira (most likely the son of the Abir Ya'akov).
On the title page of the book, which is torn, there is an ancient inscription in thick script (different from the script of the above Rabbi Avraham). It is most likely that this inscription, which is partially missing, was handwritten by the Baba Sali himself.
Condition: Bad-Good. Original red binding with an impression of "Ein Ya'akov". The first ten leaves of the book as well as the two last leaves have been damaged and torn by worming and wear due to use. The rest of the leaves are in reasonable condition with minor moth signs on their margins.
