We are very excited to present 600+ lots of The Massive Texas Oil Rare Coin Collection.
This auction is featuring The Texan Collection, entirely put together with East Texas Oil Money! East Texas oil dates back to the 1930’s, a time that people referred to as
"the gusher age" or the "Texas oil boom".
It was unprecedented. A period of dramatic change and economic growth in Texas. The discovery that began the boom was near Beaumont Texas, the find was unprecedented in its size. The gentleman who consigned this collection can trace his ancestors back to this find.
He has been collecting for more than half of his life. His collection boasts an impressive display of variety. He was a man of broad taste, but had particular interests in rare gold.

1915 Arkansas At Pan-Pacific Panama HK-403 So Called Dollar $1 ms63 NGC. The 1915 Panama-Pacific International Exposition was held in San Francisco, California to celebrate the opening of the Panama Canal. In addition to the coins and official medals of the Exposition which were produced by the United States Mint, many medals were made by others related to the PPIE, including medals commissioned by various States to help raise funds for their exhibits at the Exposition. This medal is the Arkansas Exposition Fund Dollar issued at the 1915 Panama-Pacific Expo and is listed as HK-403 in the Hibler-Kappen book on So-Called Dollars nd has been graded MS63 by NGC This aluminum medal has impressive overall detail in the design, particularly on the reverse side featuring the Arkansas State Seal. The piece is bright white on both sides and the devices have some light cameo frosting as well. A wonderful example of this detailed so-called dollar from the 1915 Pan-Pac Expo.
