The author R. Aharon Shmuel began preaching in Fürth towards the end of 1606, in 1615 he was appointed Rabbi of the town.


The consensus among bibliographers was to date this work as issued in 1611. Recent scholarship has revised this to 1617.


The Author cites here three unpublished works of his: On ethical and religio-philosophical problems, as well as a novellae to the Talmud.
