Rabbi Aryeh Lewin, a letter to the Irgun members, Arie and Tzela Amidror, on the occasion of the arrival of their son Yaakov (later the IDF Major General Yaakov Amidror) for the age of the mitzvot. 1961

Arie Amidror - After the outbreak of World War II, in 1940 he enlisted in the British army and served in the cavalry corps. At first he took part in the fighting in North Africa, where he was sent with his company to Greece, where he was captured by the Germans (prisoner number 7063) and released in 1945 by Allied forces.
He was discharged from the British army on January 16, 1946 and returned to Israel and joined the Irgun.

Tzela Amidror - was one of the Betar and Irgun fighters and Etzel prisoners who were imprisoned by the British in the women's prison in Bethlehem.

Yaakov Amidror is a Major General in the Israel Defense Forces, served as Head of the National Security Council, Head of Research at Military Intelligence, Military Secretary to the Minister of Defense, and Commander of Military Colleges.
