Rebbetzen Cheila Sonnenfeld, Rabbi Yosef Chaim Sonnenfeld's Wife, Letter Signed
The Rebbetzen Cheila, Rabbi Yosef Chaim Sonnenfeld's second wife, was thirty years younger than him and was blessed by him with longevity like him. She died on 4.3.1968 at the age of ninety. She was the daughter of Rabbi Mendel Deutsch.

The Rebbetzen Cheila was known for her piousness and wisdom.
When the Dayan of Pápa, Rabbi Moshe Yosef Hoffman, suggested the Shiduch with Rabbi Yosef Chaim, she said she would agree only if she be given ten daily coins to give to the poor. Every day, hundreds of poor woupld visit her and she would greet them warmly.
She was the right-hand person of her husband, the rabbi of Ha'Edah Ha'Charedit of Jerusalem.
After his death, the REbbetzen left their house in "Batei Machaseh" in the Old City of Jerusalem and moved to the Diskin orphanage, where she would take care of the orphans - with kind words, food and clothes.
Stories about her piousness and charity are told by her descendants, the Finkel family, the rabbis of the Mir yeshiva of Jerusalem.
