Joint Siyum in Memory of the Chazon Ish – Bnei Brak, Cheshvan 1996 – Signatures of Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky and Others from the Chazon Ish Kollel - Handwritten leaf, joint Siyum on the Talmud, divided between learners at the Chazon Ish kollel, in memory of the kollel's founder, the Chazon Ish, to be completed by his yahrzeit on 15th Cheshvan 1997. [Bnei Brak, Cheshvan 1996]. The list comprises the names of the Talmudic tractates to be studied, next to the signatures of the individuals who took it upon themselves to study those tractates in memory of the Chazon Ish, apportioning the entire Talmud between them all. The signatures include important kollel members, from the oldest and most distinguished to the youngest. R. Chaim Kanievsky (nephew and disciple of the Chazon Ish) signed this leaf ten times: ”Chaim Kanievsky”, as a commitment to study various tractates (which were apparently left unclaimed): Yoma, Nazir, Gittin, Bava Kama, Sanhedrin, Avodah Zarah, Menachot, Niddah and Seder Taharot. Other signatories include: R. Yosef Gerber, R. Moshe Tzivyon, R. Dov Weintraub (Reb Berel, R. Chaim Kanievsky's study partner for over seventy years), R. Chaim David Stern, R. Bogard, R. Yaakovson and many other distinguished members of the Chazon Ish kollel. Double leaf. 21 cm. Good condition.
