Letter sent from Haifa to Vienna via the Red Cross, 1941
Letter sent by Kurt Albert Grֳ¼nbaum and his wife from Haifa to their son, Karl Israel Grֳ¼nbaum, in Vienna. July 1941.
The Berlin Red Cross transferred the letter to Vienna (ink stamps on the envelope). The letter is short and concise: "Do not worry about us. Bon Voyage. Note our new address. Kisses, your parents". Attached is a leaflet from the Berlin Red Cross headquarters, detailing the method and conditions of transferring letters to citizens outside of Germany during the war. Size varies, fair-good condition.
