Photograph of the building of the Anglo-Palestine Bank's first branch in Tel Aviv, located at the corner of Herzl and Yehuda HaLevi streets, [1937].
The building was designed by Shani (Yehoshua) Steinbock, one of the founders of the Association of Engineers & Architects in Palestine. The photograph shows the building after its expansion in 1937. The photographerג€™s ink stamp appears on the reverse.
Kalter, (1903-1995) was one of the most important modern architecture photographers in Israel, who mainly worked for architects and various publications. He perpetuated the best of the International Style (Bauhaus) in Eretz Israel. 28x23.5 cm. Very good condition.
