Archive of manuscripts and letters, majority pertaining to the freeing of Agunot (women bound in marriage by a husband who refuses to grant a divorce or who is missing and not proven dead) after the Holocaust. Lists of Chiddushei Torah in his handwriting, documents of testimony for the freeing of Agunot of the Holocaust, with notations in his handwriting. Various letters sent to him, including: Lengthy Halachic response (approx. 18 pages) by Rabbi Yechezkel Rotner Av Beit Din of Shamkot, from the period of his rabbinical service in the Wilhelm camp in Germany; and response by the great Av Beit Din of Shvebishal, Rabbi Mordechai Gershon Spalter (1886-1962, exalted genius who served during that period as rabbi of Shvebish-Halel refugee camp in Germany).
The holy genius Rabbi Yitzchak HaCohen Hoberman – “The Tzadik of Ra’anana” (1896-1977). Born in Poland and studied by Rabbi Ya’akov Mordechai of Belgora, by the “Shem MeShmuel” of Sochochov, and by Rabbi T. H. Glickson (son-in-law of Rabbi Chaim of Brisk). Was known for his diligence and genius. Was affiliated with Hassidism of Ger and Lubavitch. Following the Holocaust, served for approximately six years in the rabbinate of Wetzlar in Germany. Immigrated to Ra’anana in Eretz Israel. Was known as an exalted righteous individual and a miracle worker. Rabbi Eliezer Menachem Man Shach refers to him in his approbation to his book Ben Le’oshri: “Abundant with wisdom in the revealed and concealed”.
