Twenty Six photos documenting the construction of Ben-Gurion College, next to Kibbutz Sde Boker [early 1960s]. Photographer: Amram Nevo.
Ben-Gurion College is a community settlement, serving as a study and research center, mainly of the Negev. The institute for Desert Research of Ben-Gurion University in the Negev, the Ben-Gurion Legacy Institute, the Interdisciplinary Center, The Institute for Research of Solar Energy, Environmental Oriented high school and boarding school, "Field School" "Sde Boker" – are all active there. All of the photos are ink-stamped on the reverse by the photographer. Average size 24X18 cm. Very good condition. Attached is a letter of thanks handwritten by Avraham Tsivion, the first director of the college.
