Hermann Fechenbach (1897-1986), allegorical print, 1922.
Woodcut. Signed in the plate, signed in pencil (H. Fechenbach), dated and numbered 24/100.
On the lower part appear scenes from the book of Genesis. On the right – a praying Jew and on the left – a pioneer with a shovel. In the center -
a beaming Star of David, a crown, Menorah and medallions with symbolic illustrations; ceremonies concerning the holiness of Shabbath and a prophecy by Isiah.
29X40 cm. Good condition. Frame: 47X57 cm. Not examined outside of the frame.
