Collection of Kippot (skullcaps). Bukhara, [first half of 20th century].
23 embroidered Bukharian Kippot, for Shabbat, holidays, weddings and special occasions, made of various fabrics: silk, velvet and cotton, with embroidery in golden threads with sequins, and with colorful threads. The Kippot are intended for women and for men and made in different styles. Some are pointed, others are flat or round. The style of embroidery varies from simple geometric patterns to complex ones.
Overall good condition, some unraveled threads on some of the Kippot, wear marks.
