Parchment Ketubah - Turin, 1776 - Signatures of City Rabbis
Ketubah recording the marriage of the groom Yosef son of Shmuel Maluano with the bride Bat Sheva daughter of David Foa. Turin (Torino), Italy, Shevat 1776.
Parchment ketubah. Written in large square letters. Following the text of the ketubah, on the right, are the signatures of the witnesses – two Rabbis from Turin: "Ya'akov Sagri son of Yehoshua ebn Zion" [R. Ya'akov Sagri – Rabbi of Turin, died ca. 1800] and "Yeshaya Chizkiya Shlomo Michael son of Shimon Yonah" [Rabbi in Turin]; the groom's signature appears on the left.
28X38 cm. Fair condition. Folding marks, stains and creases affecting text. Small tears to margins. Rolled.
