Rabbi of Alesk - Printed Photo
The year and place of print are missing. Perhaps Lvov, 1923.
The well-known Rabbi of Alesk, Rabbi Aharon Menachem Mendl Eichenstein (1861-1823) was the son of the Admor of Ziditchov Rabbi Sender Lipa, and son-in-law and successor of Admor Yitzhak Ben Rabbi Henich of Alesk.
Known as a miracle worker, and as one who gave all of his money to charity. In 1904 he was made Av Beit Din of Alesk, and admor of the followers of his father-in-law. In the First World War he moved to Lvov, where he died in 1923. See more about him in enclosed material.
Printed photo. 15.5 cm, good condition, creases and stains, the upper part has pin holes.
